LyraVR is built on top of the existing Lyra Project using a high-quality VR solution called VRM while at the same time keeping all the original functionality of the Base Lyra Project fully intact. Great care has been taken to implement the VRM system into Lyra in the most native way possible.

The LyraVR project is a full and Professional conversion to VR and has VR-centric methods to display all the relevant Game info to the player for VR

the VRM solution is a full-body physics-based Avatar with a procedural foot placement system and weapon system.

  • A physical hand system that prevents hands from passing through objects In the world.
  • An Intelligent head \ body system that feels natural and allows the player to look left and right while aiming the weapon out in front without also rotating the body.

Release Notes

  1.  1.2 Updated to Unreal Engine version 5.4
  2. All LyraVR content is now its own plugin, built into a custom version of Shootercore, intended to replace the default Shootercore.
  3. Updated Holosights system, Now By default all weapons use the sights as the aim point, to make sure the weapon fire hits where the player was aiming in the sights.
  4. Added a secondary weapon fire option to the  Weapon settings allowing for grenade launchers and other Custom secondary fire options.
  5. added character Capsule scaling to the VR player so when the player crouches the capture will dynamically scale with the player allowing them to move under  low objects and crawl spaces
  6. Remove the VRM stand-alone weapons and added a left-hand option to allow the inventory system to spawn weapons in the player lefthand and grenades in the right hand  instead, still under development)
  7. changes to the shipment map, Removed some of the  Geometry tools, and created custom meshes to replace containers and walls, bins ect.
